Foundation Course

This course is a 10 days intensive residential meditation course, it is designed for those who want to explore Meditation more deeply as a practice for themselves. While the course focuses on meditation, students will be encouraged towards gaining in depth knowledge of yoga and the practice of yoga asanas will be used as a necessary tool to prepare the body, energy, and mind for true meditation

200 Hour Meditation Teacher Training

This 200 level Meditation Teacher training is a 21 days intensive residential course available to all sincerely aspiring souls, irrespective of previous experience or practice. While the course focuses on meditation, yoga practice is an integral part of the training as a means to prepare the body, energy systems, and mind for deep meditation. At the completion of this course, you will not only be well versed in meditation and yogic knowledge and wisdom, but also qualified to offer classes, workshops and 100 level meditation training.

500 Hour Meditation Teacher Training

This 500 level Meditation master training is a 4 weeks intensive course. Available to 200 level Yoga and Meditation teachers or those with equivalent experience or training. In exceptional cases, confident individuals with certain skill sets may be eligible for this course without prior yoga or meditation training. The focus of the course is on meditation however, students will have the opportunity to gain in depth yoga training as well. Yoga is used as a set of tools used to prepare the body, energy, and mind for true meditation. Upon completion of this course, you will be certified to offer 100 and 200 levels Meditation Teacher Trainings, alongside with regular classes and workshops.

Grand Master Meditation Teacher Training

The 21 days Grand Master of Meditation Training provides a very practical four-dimensional system of meditation that aims at giving every sincerely aspiring meditation practitioner the opportunity to come into contact and express the Eternal Consciousness in practical life. The Grand Master of Meditation course is a truly experience-based, scientific approach to meditation taking its source in the systems of yogic chakras and yogic bodies.

What is included

Training & Certification

The courses provide training in the various tools and methods of meditation such as asana, pranayama, mantra, concentration and meditation. They also cover in-depth studies of yogic chakras, koshas, philosophy and more. Course includes certification fees.

While the trainings are inspired by and based on the teachings of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo, Meditation Alliance International® is an independent organization and is not a part of the Auroville Foundation nor is it of Sri Aurobindo Ashram.

Accommodation & Food

The course includes shared accommodation and vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There are specific rules and regulations for this course. Smoking and alcohol is not permitted on site.

Visit the birthplace of yoga and you’ll understand why its traditions have endured for millennia and they continue to have relevance and value in the modern world.

This meditation teacher training course will take place at our headquarters in Kottakuppam, between Auroville and Pondicherry, in Tamil Nadu. A perfect location in close proximity to both the City of Dawn and its Matrimandir and Sri Aurobindo Ashram, which The Mother had once called a veritable laboratory to work out the future society.

Asana

Asana training and practice is your opportunity to examine the asanas in depth and learn the science behind the physical practice. The proposed asanas are suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced and offer a holistic approach to health while focusing on chakra activation and energy circulation in the bodies.

Two asana classes are suggested daily, as a body meditation for your personal purification and development which are indispensable to induce the true state of meditation. You also have the opportunity to get supervised teaching practice. Additionally to the meditation knowledge, you will come away with a thorough understanding of the asana sequences and the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga.

Pranayama

Discover the healing potential of your breath. Breathing techniques are an essential component of Hatha yoga and its benefits include improved concentration, more energy, deeper sleep, and reduced stress levels. Not only does it feed the brain, it also revitalizes the body since breath is the bridge between the body and the mind and establishing this bridge is one if the keys to successful meditation.

Mantra

The science of sound vibrations will be explored during the teacher training. Chanting Mantras generates vibrations which are fundamental tools for altering the psyche and producing a tranquil and balanced mind. In yogic practices, the growth of awareness progresses with the help of these vibrations. By cleansing the mind with mantras, decision making becomes clearer and observation power is awakened.

Purification leads to improved concentration and a calm focused mind. Mantras will be translated and clearly explained.

TIME Meditation

TIME meditation means Transformational Integral Meditation Education. It combines physical meditation, prana meditation, mind meditation and psychic meditation as well as other techniques aimed at transforming oneself and connecting one with the higher Self. TIME Meditation leads to a permanent shift in consciousness that is moving and transcending continuously towards the larger truths of life.

Practicing meditation induces harmony and peace, helping and supporting the endeavour to evolve constantly towards a positive manifestation of higher forces in practical life.

Meditation, Yoga Nidra, and various relaxation techniques are included in the Meditation Teacher Training course in order to give you an experience of your pure nature, in which your ego dissolves and you'll find inner silence. You will be introduced to dynamic and still meditation. In addition to this, you will learn a variety of tools to help unlock your inner wisdom and access your true potential.
